Top five jazz pianists all-time: Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal, Horace Silver, Thelonious Monk, Dave Brubeck. Some might put Bill Evans and Bud Powell on this list rather than Jamal, Silver or Brubeck, but few would leave Oscar off.

double bassist's a tank. looks incredibly silly during his solo though. sorry, but it's true. he looks like an animated tree crossed with some kind of mischievious imp. Oscar is immense. if you want a real treat listen to his rendition of flight of the bumblebee. it's gloriously self-indulgent.
